 ‘A Ruby in the wild’

A worthy safari for big game photography, the Amboseli National Park is also known as ‘Home of the African Elephant’ and the Big Four excluding the black Rhino. This tour includes view of the infamous Mount Kilimanjaro with its highest peak in Africa. Here the plains offer an abundance of large herbivores including Wildebeest, Burchell’s Zebra, Grant’s and Thompson Gazelle. 

The hippos silently guard the pools and marshes, frequently invaded by the other animals seeking solace from the midday heat, with the chance to see more than 420 bird species recorded. With the wet seasons of March to May and October to December drawing a large number of flamingoes.

Itinerary

Met by our representative at your City Hotel and transferred to the Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park. Met on arrival by the Lodge driver and proceed on a morning game viewing drive enroute to the Lodge/Camp.

After lunch, a late evening game viewing drive returning to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Meals: lunch, dinner. Overnight at Tortilis Camp or similar.

Morning wakeup call with tea or coffee, depart for an early morning game viewing drive.
Morning is spent at leisure, with a late afternoon game viewing drive before returning to the Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Overnight at Tortilis Camp or similar.

Early morning game viewing drive, return for breakfast and check-out. Transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport Nairobi. Met on arrival by our representative and transferred to your city hotel or Airport hotel for a Day room before your departure flight home.

Meals: Breakfast at Tortilis Camp. Additional meals available at an extra charge.

What should be worn on safari to the Amboseli National Park?

Shoes must be comfortable enough to walk especially on hiking or walking safaris, wear colors such as Khaki, brown, beige/tan and green are perfect whilst on safari as they blend with the surrounding. In the evenings a pair of jeans, trousers and a long-sleeved shirt, a safari jacket or warm fleece on chilly nights.
