Overview
Songa Camp operating as a permanent camp is the furthest north camp, which opened its canvas doors to guests in June 2021 as a Migrational Camp. Accessible internationally through Kilimanjaro International Airport, on arrival at Arusha airport, guests have an option of flying via private charter or scheduled flight to Kogatende Airstrip. Songa Tented Camp is located in the hilly outcrops of Kogatende in the northern Serengeti.
Though blending in exhilarating proximity to nature, carefully considering creature comforts, This Camp invites you on a soulful immersive safari adventure, in the hilly outcrops of Kogatende, it is home. Songa lies in wait as millions of wildebeest migrate north before the imminent drama of the nearby Mara River crossings. Children aged 5 years and older are welcome and children’s activities may be provided.
Here Safari enthusiasts and wildlife lovers will witness the drama of the crossing as Mara River is not far off – a true bucket-list sighting. The camp itself consists of eight en-suite tents and a family tent, natural linen, and joyful colours reflect the sense of adventure this environment brings. There is also the option to book one side of the camp on an exclusive basis.

- The smaller side with 2 tents and the family tent has the option to become a ‘Private Camp’. Every booking is allocated a private safari vehicle for game drives and seated at separate dining tables for mealtimes.
