Here, you embrace the ‘Out-of-Africa’ atmosphere and listen as the sounds of an African night come to life all around you. Little Chem Chem is the ‘sunrise camp’ situated on the edge of an acacia forest, located on the shores of Lake Burunge with a handful of 6 Canvas Suites.
The camp offers an authentic vintage safari in elegant, supremely comfortable rooms, and is solar-powered and unfenced, allowing the game to move freely through the area. Little Chem Chem features the main tent complete with a lounge, viewing areas, and magnificent dining. It is about 130km (about two hours’ drive) from Arusha.
Located between the Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, on a 16000ha privately managed Wildlife Management Area. The characteristic landscapes of the Tarangire River surround the camp with its impressive Baobab trees.
Accommodating a maximum of 14 guests in large bedrooms (3 have king-size beds, two offer twin beds) ensuite bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet., One larger Family Tent, complete with a rocking chair and study desk, vanity area, and dressing room where understated luxury is woven into every experience.
Dine in the wilderness and on daily game excursions, on foot or by 4×4, expert guides will share their passion for the diversity of our concession. Little Chem Chem is closed from 1st April to 31st May.

Luxury Vintage Family Tent: A two-bedroom canvased family tent perfect for families of 2 adults and 3 children, fitted with a large king-size bed in the main bedroom, the children’s room offers 2 twin beds, and each room has its own vanity area with dressing room, ensuite shower and flushing toilet.
