Overview
Guests at Mpingo Ridge enjoy a real sense of wilderness combined with excellent game viewing. The Lodge sits on top of an escarpment with sweeping views across the perennial Tarangire River and the valley below, with 15 spacious tented suites, carefully positioned to maximize the sensational views over the Tarangire valley and one of the suites has two bedrooms, specially designed for friends and family traveling together.
Tarangire is the sixth largest National Park in Tanzania, though slightly off the main safari circuit it is a scenic park featuring classic African savannah, green hills, woodlands, and rivers and is especially famous for its large herds of elephants, superb birdlife, and giant baobab trees. The excellent game viewing here makes this a standalone destination and a great place to start a safari into Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers, This National Park is most popular for its large elephant herds and mini-wildlife migration that takes place during the dry season which sees about 250,000 animals enter the park.

Each of the 15 spacious tented suites has been carefully positioned to maximize not only the amazing views but also to take advantage of the cooling winds during the hot season.
10 Tented Suites: (each max 2 persons).
1 Two bedroom Tented Suite: (max 6 persons) Ideal for groups, families, or friends travelling together. With a large and spacious bedroom affording spectacular views, ensuite facilities, and a shared lounge.
3 Family Suite: (each max 4 persons) identical to the tented suites, and have a sofa bed to accommodate triple and a safari-style child’s bed for children 12 and under.
