No other guest, belonging to another group, will be booked at the same time.
Accommodation
With 4 permanent tents and can accommodate up to 8 guests’ in 4 twins. All tents have an adjoining but enclosed outside bathroom. It is recommended children over the age of 5 years are allowed but must be supervised. A well equipped Kitchen with a proficient cook, a fridge and freezer.

Camp Amenities
24 hrs. security, Camp is powered by solar electricity and hot water is solar powered however during the rainy months (July/August), Please NO hairdryers to be used, clear medical advice is required from your doctor as No doctor’s in close proximity to Lodge and as such it is advisable to get a comprehensive medical insurance (Flying Doctor’s Membership) as the Camp is within a malarial area.
A well equipped Kitchen with a proficient cook, a fridge and freezer.
Wi-Fi access and limited mobile phone reception, check with staff on where reception is best. Wheel chair access, laundry, outdoor bath, fans are available on request, safe is available at the office.
Activities
- Game Drives within the unique Northern Area of Tsavo.
- Access to the orphans at the stockades in the early morning and evening as well as the 11am mud bath for foster parents only.
- Relaxation in camp enjoying the resident wildlife.
- Excursions to the Tiva River and Yatta Plateau.
- Arrangements can be made for a guided hike up Ithumba Mountain.
- Guided walks along the Tiva River.
- All walking has to be done accompanied by armed KWS rangers.
