Overview

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is in central Kenya’s Laikipia County, a conservancy of 360 km2 (140 sq mi) not-for-profit. Staying at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp allows guests to contribute to conservation. Seven spacious, eco-friendly tents positioned along the Ewaso Ngiro River. The terrain ranges from marshland and savannah to thickets of acacias and yellow-green fever trees. The 36,420-hectare reserve was once a cattle ranch and is still used by herders today. The conservancy is especially famous for its rhinos, both black and white. It is the only place you can see northern white rhino, with the last two in the world living under 24-hour armed guard at Ol Pejeta.

This pioneering conservation project is famous for spectacular sightings of black and white rhino, the Big 5 and the world’s last two remaining northern white rhino and an Eco-friendly camp.

Accommodation

There are seven tents (including one family tent), each has an en suite bathroom, flushing toilets and hot water bucket showers. Beds are snug with extra blankets, a hot-water bottle slipped in during turndown. The tents have spacious decks, offer laundry service (complimentary), solar and generator power, battery-charging.
