Overview

Situated in the heart of the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, comprises of 8 luxurious cottages set in beautifully manicured garden. The Lodge was designed and created by June Zwager; her vision was brought to life with help from the local community and her team of skilled craftsmen. Built from simple bush stone, Acacia, Olive and Leleshwa wood all sustainably sourced from within the sanctuary. The furniture has been hand crafted at the onsite wood workshop and every piece is unique and adds to the African flare of Chui Lodge. The dining room, lounge and bar area feature pillars and murals with intricate African carvings, African antiques and ochre coloured walls creating the feel of an artist’s gallery. The main building and cottages are near a large swimming pool with views across the waterhole and the wildlife sanctuary beyond. Having a refreshing dip in the pool while watching herds of giraffe walk down to drink is a unique memory you will keep forever. The lodge is open all year round.

Uniqueness of this Camp

The Lodge is on an expansive 18,000-acre sanctuary, sits one of the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary’s and hidden in an indigenous forest.

Accommodation

Eight en suite individual, well-spaced luxurious bandas each with its own veranda, views of the Rift Valley escarpment and the Wildlife Sanctuary. Chui Lodge has 5 standard rooms and 3 deluxe rooms. All bedrooms have magnificent four poster king size olive wood beds, roaring log fires, en-suite bathrooms and unique décor, making each room completely different from one another. With hair dryer, free Wi-Fi, safe, flat screen TV, tea/coffee stations and mini bars in each room, these are restocked every day. The deluxe rooms are larger and have their very own lounge areas, some with an extra sofa bed, each view from the rooms is unique. Children of all ages allowed, from 12 years onwards considered adults.

Room Amenities: Hair dryer, free Wi-Fi, safe, flat screen TV, tea/coffee stations and mini bars. Lodge Amenities: The professionally trained chefs prepare an array of meals to satisfy every palate with most ingredients being sourced from the Lodge’s own dairy and organic vegetable farm. Four course dinners are served either inside with a log fire keeping everything warm or candle-lit under the stars listening to the hyenas call in the distance, a romantic private dinner at your very own cottage or lunch by the pool. Special dietary requirements are available. The Ranch Bistro situated on the shores of Lake Oloidien, 6mins drive (2.3kms) from Chui Lodge, first opened its doors in November 2014. The idea of this boutique restaurant was to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy home-style cooking in a relaxed and beautiful setting using local ingredients, some even sourced directly from their own farm.

The Lodges’ Professional safari guides will tailor your daily activities to suit your wishes and interests, include day and night game drives in the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, along the lake shore. The boat cruises on the lakes, candlelit dinners under the stars in the heart of the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, visits to the organic vegetable farm, bush breakfast and bush dinners, bush walks, sundowner. Kids activities and external excursions to explore the Rift Valley.
