Overview

Campi ya Kanzi was born in 1975 when Luca first set foot in the Chyulu. Became a reality in 1995 when Luca & Antonella moved to the Chyulu permanently Campi ya Kanzi (Swahili for “Camp of the Hidden Treasure”) is a luxury eco-tourism safari camp located in the Chyulu Hills of southeast Kenya near Tsavo West National Park. For more than 20 years they have enjoyed hosting wonderful friends (not just guests) from all over the world.

Campi ya Kanzi promotes responsible tourism and gives back to the local community.  We employ seventy Kenyans, and our business supports our sister non-profit, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, which provides conservation, education, and health services across Kuku Group Ranch.  We also provide a model for sustainable operations through rainwater collection, solar electricity, solar heating, graywater and black water recycling, and much more.

Uniqueness of this Camp

One of the very few private safari villas you can rent in Kenya, Kanzi House sleeps up to ten people in three double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The Camp has been a long time leader in the eco-tourism sector with awards such as Tomorrow Award, The Eco-Warrior Award and the Condes nast World Savers Award.  You get to walk and hike alongside wildlife as this Camp is on private location of 400 square miles of wilderness.

Accommodation

Under canvas sits 6 luxury tented cottages and 2 luxury tented suites for up to 16 guests. The private Kanzi House can accommodate up to 10 guests’ with 3 doubles and two twin rooms.

Amenities

Hotel Amenities: The Camp offers at the Private Kanzi House featuring a Jacuzzi, an 18-meter swimming pool, a fire pit, and astonishing views of Mount Kilimanjaro.  Dining can be arranged either inside or out; al fresco dining is available next to the pool or in the open dining area beside the pool cottage. Each tour is guided by a Maasai guide and tracker.
